Dr. Thomas joined the practice in August of 2006. She is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and graduated high school from St. Joseph’s Academy. She earned her undergraduate degree in Microbiology from Louisiana State University and received the designation as one of the Top 25 Graduating Seniors. Dr. Thomas earned her medical degree from LSU in New Orleans where she also continued her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. During residency, Dr. Thomas thoroughly enjoyed teaching medical students and residents and was honored with awards for excellence in teaching. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Since beginning private practice, Dr. Thomas has been very active in leadership roles. She served as Chief of the Medical Staff for Woman’s Hospital during the hospital’s transition to the Briarwood campus. Dr. Thomas has also continued her passion for teaching as an Assistant Clinical Professor for both the LSU and Tulane OB/GYN Departments.
Dr. Thomas is an active member of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a community volunteer for various organizations. Outside of work, Dr. Thomas enjoys taking care of her patients, spending quality time with her family, cooking, and volunteering in the community.
